How we priced Batch 01

People ask why hemp clothing is expensive. The short answer: hemp yarn usually costs more than the common alternatives, and a small run costs more per piece than a large one. The longer answer is a set of choices. This note shows the Batch 01 shelves and the public prices we compared in October 2026.
The tee at $44
We compared the Men's Air Weave Tee against public shelf prices: the Patagonia Work Pocket tee at $49, Jungmaven hemp blend tees at $48 to $60, the prAna Cozy Up at $54, and the Wama hemp-cotton crew at $40. At $44 the tee sits under most of that field and a few dollars above the Wama crew.
One naming note: the Core collection style name is Air Weave. This is not a pocket tee.
Underwear and shorts
The Men's Boxer Shorts are $30, just under Wama's $32 blend brief and under Rawganique's $48.95 hemp boxer. Three for $81 works out to $27 each. That is a plain multipack, not a prize.
The Women's Boy Short is $32, under Jungmaven's $40 brief and under Rawganique's hemp boy shorts near $44.
The Drawstring Short is $64, far under Jungmaven's hemp shorts at $124 and up, and high enough to read as a real short rather than a clearance item.
The waitlist prices
The Hemp Work Pant is a waitlist price at $108, under tentree's hemp stretch chino at $118.
The Men's Hemp Hoodie is a waitlist price at $108, under the Jungmaven Balboa at $158 and the Rawganique Cornwall at $169.97. It is above tentree's polyester-blend hood at $78, and we will not pretend that comparison is like for like: different fibers, different cloth.
The Men's Structured Hemp Jogger is a waitlist price at $128, under the Rawganique Rainier at $169.95 and the Jungmaven Yelapa at $176.
A waitlist price is a number we are willing to hold. Waitlist styles are not quoted until a factory row exists, and they are never charged from this site.
What those numbers are not
The comparison prices are other brands' public prices as of October 2026, and they change. Those brands' garments are their own work. A price comparison here is not a disparagement of anything they make.
Factory quotes, freight, and the fiber percentage can still move the Batch 01 numbers. If a number moves, the page moves with it. The full draft table, with its blanks left blank, is in the Batch 01 spec sheet.
